‘Burnet Woods Migratory Bird Walk’
Meet at the Burnet Woods Bandstand (on Burnet Woods Dr, Burnet Woods, Cincinnati)
The UC Ornithology Club will lead a one-hour bird walk in Burnet Woods, in Clifton, near the University of Cincinnati.
Burnet Woods is a 90-acre park sporting hiking trails, a fishing lake, a historic bandstand, playgrounds, shelters, picnic areas, and a disc golf course.
The Audubon Society named the park an Important Birding Area. Various community groups and Cincinnati Parks work together to preserve and maintain this beautiful, wooded oasis in the heart of the busy college neighborhood, striving to keep it enjoyable and functioning for people and wildlife alike.
Our Guides
‘Burnet Woods Migratory Bird Walk’ is led by Elise Bergeron and other Executive Team members of the UC Ornithology Club. Our guides will take you around the best bird spotting areas of Burnet Woods, as migratory birds stop in the park during fall migration. They will also share about the history of the park, and current UC involvement with Cincinnati Parks and other birding areas, as well as the Lights Out Cincinnati initiative.
Starting Point
Everyone is invited to meet the group at around 8:15AM at the Burnet Woods Bandstand.
The presentation begins at 8:30AM.

Additional Information
If you have binoculars, please make sure to bring them.
You can also download the ‘Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab’ app to help you identify birds as you encounter them.
