SEaS – Interdisciplinary Symposium

The School of Environment and Sustainability (SEaS) has dedicated $2,500 in support of the interdisciplinary symposium on October 13, 2026. This funding will be allocated for hospitality costs for visiting guests as well as honorariums for local participants.

Dr. Laura Zanotti, Professor and Director of SEaS, will be co-organizing the symposium with Dr. Nancy Jennings. Currently, the symposium is slated to take place at TUC on UC’s campus and will include a keynote and sessions on Water and Land – Sustainability Solutions, Invasive Species & Resilient Communities, Birds, Imagination & Climate Futures.

Throughout the symposium, a Photo, Art, and Design Contest, and a poster session will be exhibited. Attendees will also be able to share their stories of nature, wonder, and awe at a story booth.
