New Logo

It is our pleasure to unveil the official logo for “Forest Calls 2.0.”

Our journey began in 2022 when we were invited to document the urgent efforts of scientists working to save the ʻAkikiki from extinction.

Through that initial partnership, what started as a documentation project transformed into a deep-rooted passion for this remarkable bird (Oreomystis bairdi). This new design serves as a visual tribute to the beauty and resilience of the species that inspired our movement.

Looking ahead, this logo also represents our upcoming transmedia project, “The Story of the ʻAkikiki.” This live performance will unite a collective of artists, performers, and cultural practitioners. We are already deep in pre-production and look forward to sharing more specific details as they unfold. Mark your calendars for October 11, 2026 !
